Get Inspired by Color Palettes

You have your date, reception site, photographer and band – next is the choice of colors for your wedding. Your colors play through the entire wedding from the invitations, floral, lighting, bridesmaids dresses, favors and cake.

The color scheme should be carefully chosen and represent your personality. Be creative! Use colors that not only appeal to you, but also work with the reception location and theme of your wedding.

Look at a digital inspiration boards like pinterest and design seed to help you pull colors together.  Share you vision with your vendors and wedding consultant and even post to your wedding website. Some of my favorite palettes include are Modern Gatsby, Vintage Mod, Royal Court, Subtle Blush and Berry Chic.

Peonies take center stage for May and June weddings as it is their peak season. Whether used on their own or mixed with hydrangeas, roses or lilies, Peonies are beautiful and fragrant flowers that pack a punch when used in centerpieces and bouquets.

Real Weddings – Jennifer and David

Jennifer and David were married at the newly remodeled Public Hotel and Pump Room on April 20th. I was so honored to be part of this couples special day. Their Fathers were ordained so that they could officiate the intimate wedding with 100 guests. Jennifer and David are expecting a child and could not be happier. The modern decor and flowers were from Allison Denny of Stems Chicago. Avery House Photography captured the special day and provided the photos below.

Real Weddings – Ricky and Lauren

On Saturday, April 28th I had the pleasure of coordinating a spectacular wedding for Lauren & Ricky at The Standard Club in Chicago. Richard Remiard and his talented design team helped illuminate the ceremony room with crystals and cascading flowers. Jai Girard captured every moment and Larry King Orchestra kept the guests dancing all night. As a unique favor, the couple gave their guests bride and groom Mrs. Prindible Apples.
